Chambers Latin America has released its 2026 guide, ranking Baker McKenzie in 51 practice and sector areas and in 118 lawyer categories.
Across the region, we added 13 newly ranked lawyers—seven entering the numerical band tables and six in Associate to Watch/Up and Coming—and recorded 25 lawyer promotions, including eight who moved into the top categories (Bands 1–2/Eminent/Star/Senior Statespeople).
On practices, the Firm earned four new practice rankings—Chile: Banking & Finance, Chile: Tax, Mexico: Competition/Antitrust and Venezuela: Public Law and posted four practice promotions, all within Bands 1–2.
The Firm upheld Band 1 positions for Mexico — General Business Law: Monterrey (2016–2026) and International Trade/WTO (2009–2026).
Chambers is the leading international legal directory, covering over 200 jurisdictions around the world. Rankings are based on interviews with clients and peers as well as firm submissions. Practices and individuals earning a Band 1 ranking are noted by the guide for achieving the highest, "technical legal ability, client service, commercial vision and business understanding, diligence, value for money, depth of team, and other qualities most valued by the client."
