With more than 50 years of experience, Baker McKenzie has a unique presence in Mexico with five offices in the cities of Mexico City, Guadalajara, Juarez, Monterrey and Tijuana. As the most consistently recommended law firm across all major practice areas worldwide, it comes as no surprise that the Mexican offices of Baker McKenzie are recurrently involved in major mergers and acquisitions of companies and sophisticated financial transactions, often involving several jurisdictions. Our international network allows us to create teams of specialists that extend beyond borders.

With more than 50 years of experience in the local market, we offer a full range of services to domestic and foreign multinationals and financial institutions doing business in Mexico and throughout Latin America.
Drawing on the strength of our Global Compliance Group, our Mexico compliance team advises clients on anti-bribery and corruption matters and represents clients during compliance investigations. We also provide innovative, practical legal advice during Mergers & Acquisitions, joint ventures and alliances.
We support our lawyers’ professional growth through our Development Framework, which provides a roadmap to success by describing the legal skills and personal qualities lawyers need to achieve excellence at every stage of their careers. Our programs include:
Associate Training Program: This program provides associates with the opportunity to work in offices in other parts of the world for periods ranging from two months to two years to gain global experience and contribute to clients' strategic initiatives.
Latin America Mobility Program: This program enables mid-level and senior associates in Latin America to work in another office within the region for two to four months to expand their expertise and experience.
International Clerkship Program: This program provides law clerks with at least two years of legal study with the opportunity to spend six weeks working in a local Baker & McKenzie office and another six weeks working in an office in another part of the world.
Scholarships: We provide scholarships for our lawyers to pursue graduate studies abroad.View opportunities in Mexico
We provide free legal services to non-profit associations and institutions selected by our Pro Bono Committee, applying the best skills and experience of our lawyers to critical social issues. As a result, we received the Appleseed’s Foundation 2013 Pro Bono Award for creating standards, policies, and a way to coordinate pro bono projects across our five offices in Mexico. We were also acknowledged by Latin Lawyer in 2013 and 2014 for outstanding contributions to the community and our efforts to develop a pro bono practice within the region.
