Baker McKenzie has advised Pagani Pens SA ("Pagani Pens"), an international specialist in writing instruments headquartered in Cadempino, Switzerland, on its acquisition of the assets of the insolvent Senator GmbH, a German writing instrument manufacturer, from insolvency administrator Julia Kappel Knirs (hww).
The transaction secures continued production at the Groß-Bieberau site, preserves the long-standing expertise and know-how and safeguards a large proportion of the workforce. Senator will continue to exist as an independent brand with its own market positioning and product portfolio. Pagani Pens SA and its German subsidiary Prodir GmbH will maintain existing customer relationships, products and services.
Through the acquisition of Senator, Pagani Pens SA is strengthening its European production platform and adding an established brand to its product portfolio. The transaction lays the foundation for a stable transition, future growth and Senator’s continued presence in Germany.
Pagani Pens SA is a global leader in innovative writing instrument technology. Since 1961, Pagani Pens has been committed to meeting its customers’ needs, with a strong focus on attention to detail and respect for its employees and the environment.
Baker McKenzie advised Pagani Pens on all legal aspects of this transaction.
