Baker McKenzie has advised Fagron Group, an international market leader in pharmaceutical formulations, on the acquisition of Euro OTC & Audor Pharma GmbH. The integration of Euro OTC & Audor Pharma GmbH, which directly supplies approximately 2,500 pharmacies, is expected to be completed within two years. With this deal, Fagron is not only taking over the prescription division, but also consolidating its own market position as number two in the industry in Germany.

"For the first time, we were able to support Fagron Group in an important transaction. This will enable our client to strengthen its presence in Germany, creating synergies through increased scale and enhanced customer engagement", commented Dr. Richard Stefanink, Corporate/M&A Partner in Düsseldorf, who was the lead partner on this transaction.

Michaël Dillen, Global Business Development Manager at Fagron, commented: ”Baker McKenzie provided us with reliable expert advice and helped facilitate a smooth transaction process. We valued their great solution-oriented approach and proactive force.“

Fagron supplies high-quality raw materials and innovative products for the manufacture of pharmaceutical preparations and supplies clinics, pharmacies, doctors and patients in over 40 countries worldwide. Founded in Rotterdam in 1990, Fagron has become a reliable global player with over 4,100 employees.

Euro OTC & Audor Pharma GmbH is a medium-sized company based in Bönen. Since its formation in 1993, it has developed into a major supplier of pharmaceutical raw materials and increasingly serves the international market as well as the German market.
