Baker McKenzie advised Mkango Resources Ltd. (“Mkango”) on an agreement with Heraeus Amloy Technologies GmbH to acquire the Remloy rare earth magnet recycling business. Through the transaction, Mkango is strengthening its position in the recycling and processing of rare earth magnets and further expanding its presence in Germany.
Completion is expected in summer 2026 and remains subject to customary closing conditions and receipt of required regulatory approvals.
Remloy operates a plant in Bitterfeld, Germany, dedicated to processing rare earth magnets at the end of their life cycle. The business complements Mkango’s existing recycling portfolio and expands the group’s technological base in the area of critical raw materials. Following this transaction, Mkango will have two rare earth plants in Germany with the capability to provide customers with a sustainable supply of rare earth products.
