Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie has advised QinetiQ Group plc on its proposed acquisition of Avantus Federal LLC from NewSpring for an enterprise value of USD 590 million.

The closing of the acquisition is subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to close by the end of calendar year 2022.

The transaction is QinetiQ's first major acquisition in the US, and marks a major development for QinetiQ in the security and defense sector.
