Baker McKenzie advised Haier Smart Home, a world-leading home appliances and consumer electronics company, in the signing of a "Share Purchase Agreement" with Carrier Global Corporation (Carrier Global) and Carolin Holdings B.V., acquiring 100% of the shares in Carrier Refrigeration Benelux B.V. (Carrier Commercial Refrigeration) for a consideration of approximately USD 640 million.
Carrier Commercial Refrigeration is a global leading commercial refrigeration solution provider, with approximately 4,000 employees and over 2,000 service engineers in more than ten major countries and regions worldwide. Through this acquisition, Haier Smart Home will extend its leading position establishing a commercial refrigeration platform, promoting the "Comprehensive Cold Chain Strategy" and expanding its growth opportunities.
