We don’t believe in "cheque book charity." Instead, we believe in rolling up our sleeves and being an active part of the projects we support, partnering with credible community stakeholders. While our approach to diversity and inclusion is multifaceted, the three main areas on which we focus are ethnic, cultural, and LGBTQ+ diversity, as well as gender inclusion. We therefore launched:

• We are driving meaningful progress towards gender equality through our #AccelerateAction campaign, which celebrates diverse voices within our Firm. This campaign features seven videos that share inspiring testimonies and concrete actions, highlighting the critical role of allyship.
  
  

• The project "March for Good" internally. As Baker McKenzie is the global law firm with the most female partners by percentage, it is only logical to encourage and inspire young women to pursue a career in law and break through gender stereotypes.

• In 2019 we enacted global targets* of 40% women, 40% men, and 20% flexible (women, men, or non-binary persons) by July 2025. The targets apply to partners, senior business professionals, committee leadership and candidate pools for recruitment.
  
  
• In May 2023, Baker McKenzie Luxembourg has taken a significant step toward promoting diversity and inclusivity by signing The Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg.

We understand that being responsible global citizens means protecting our environment. With this understanding, in our office we continue to implement initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint.

Pro Bono and Community Actor

One of the major benefits of being a global law firm is having the bandwidth and resources to help people through our work in lots of places and on large-scale projects.

• As part of our commitment, we work closely with partner schools as well as the Luxembourgish Law Students Association to help educate the next generation of lawyers.
• We partake in and fund "Relais pour la vie" in order to raise awareness and funds for the cancer foundation.
