Nathalie Marchand is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group of Baker McKenzie in Paris since 2015.
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Nathalie worked in leading international law firms renowned for their expertise in intellectual property.
Practice Focus
Nathalie's practice encompasses a broad spectrum of intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, designs, unfair competition, and trade secrets, in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Nathalie has earned a strong reputation for defending complex intellectual property litigation before civil and criminal courts, particularly in cases involving trademark, copyright, and design infringement, as well as legal actions concerning the validity of such rights (e.g., invalidity and cancellation). These disputes often include advertising, selective distribution, unfair competition, or passing off issues.
Nathalie is also a leading IP attorney in major transactional and commercial matters involving intellectual property, especially in the context of licensing, R&D, co-development, or consortium agreements across various industries, notably luxury, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. She is actively involved in intellectual property-related transactions, including the creation of contractual and structural collaborations dedicated to developing new technologies or intellectual property rights.
Nathalie is recognized for her extensive experience in copyright matters, including managing copyrights and neighboring rights, addressing private copying levy issues, and implementing anti-piracy programs online.
