Biography
Ross McLean is a senior counsel in the Sydney office of Baker McKenzie where he advises on intellectual property law. He advises major manufacturers and distributors on competition law issues relating to the distribution, pricing and marketing of goods and services. Ross is instructed by some of the world's largest companies, is recognised as a leading intellectual property lawyer and is listed in Best Lawyers: Australia.
Practice Focus
Ross' practice focuses on advising major brand owners, universities and manufacturers on intellectual property protection issues, supply and procurement matters, technology licences, research and other strategic collaborations as well as competition law.
Ross has acted for major advertisers on a wide range of regulatory matters including issues and disputes arising under voluntary codes, to product performance claims and comparative claims, drafting and authorising voluntary codes, and the regulation of packaging and labelling materials including the impact of quarantine and other laws on imports.
