Baker McKenzie has advised alternative investment manager Cheyne Capital on the refinancing of Kaffee Partner, a leading provider of coffee solutions for small and medium-sized businesses in the DACH region. The transaction was carried out in the context of a private debt financing structure provided by funds managed by Cheyne’s Strategic Value Credit team.
Kaffee Partner, headquartered in Osnabrück, is a portfolio company of Capvis and Partners Group. The company offers fully automated premium coffee machines and related services to more than 70,000 clients across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The refinancing supports Kaffee Partner’s continued growth and strategic development under the ownership of Capvis and Partners Group.
The financing solution provided by Cheyne Capital demonstrates the continued relevance of private credit in the German mid-market and reflects Cheyne’s strong track record in sponsor-backed transactions. Cheyne’s Strategic Value Credit investment strategy provides constructive capital solutions to help address the observable funding gap in European mid-market corporates, with a robust deal pipeline sourced through its expansive origination network across Europe.
The Baker McKenzie leveraged finance team in Germany regularly advises private equity sponsors, banks and direct lenders on all types of (leveraged) acquisition financings, refinancings and financial restructurings and is awarded as "Up and Coming" by the Chambers Global and European Guides 2024 and 2025, “Frequently recommended” by JUVE (2024), "Top Lawyer" and "Top Law Firm" for Banking & Finance by WirtschaftsWoche 2025, and enjoys various other recent recognitions.
