Biography

David is a junior associate on the North America IP Tech Practice Group. He has more than six years of experience handling sophisticated Intellectual Property matters including prosecution, licensing and advisory of trademarks, patents, copyrights, plant variety and industrial designs.

Practice Focus

David focuses on intellectual property advisory and prosecution. His practice covers advising foreign and domestic clients on IP portfolio management, including prosecution, licensing and maintenance of trademarks, commercial slogans, patents and industrial designs before the Mexican Industrial Property Institute. David also handles advisory and prosecution of copyrights and plant variety rights.
He represents clients from a wide array of fields and industries, such as consumer goods, healthcare, pharmaceutical, casinos, restaurants, toys, technology and banking among others.

  • On a regular basis offers advice to several worldwide companies in the pharmaceutical industry related to patents and trademarks, licensing, prosecution and defense of these rights.
  • Helped a Mexican company focused on the operation of card reader devices and electronic payments to consolidate a trademark portfolio of over 350 registered trademarks and commercial slogans.
