Baker McKenzie advised Unilever on the sale of Zwitsal, one of the Netherlands' most recognized baby care brands, to Royal Sanders.
The transaction forms part of Unilever's strategy to focus its portfolio on its largest international brands. The deal involved the carve-out of the Zwitsal baby care business in the Netherlands, Belgium, Suriname and the Dutch Caribbean from Unilever's wider organisation.
Baker McKenzie advised on all aspects of the transaction. The cross-border Baker McKenzie team was led by Mo Almarini and Denise Ozmis and included Philip Lückmann, Alexis Gavriilidis, Mandy Chin and Sem Putman (Corporate M&A), Natalie Ellerby, Bryan Poon and Rachel Rotimi (Intellectual Property), Daniel Relton (Commercial Contracts and Healthcare & Life Sciences), Frans Muller and Kshaema Susan Mathew (Antitrust & Competition), and Roderick Beudeker, Cornelien Broersma and Jim van Tongeren (Employment & Compensation).
