To support the growth of its activities, Baker McKenzie in Paris announces 11 promotions, including 7 women, within the Tax, Employment, Litigation, Competition & Distribution and M&A departments in France.

These announcements are in line with Baker McKenzie's development strategy following the  the appointment of 131 new Partners worldwide (including 89 internal promotions) on June 30, an increase of 12% on the previous year.

Ariane Calloud is promoted Partner in the Tax Litigation practice in Paris.
 
Ariane Calloud specializes in tax audits and litigation, with a particular focus on international tax issues (permanent establishments, transfer pricing, etc.). She mainly assists multinational companies in risk prevention, tax searches, international tax audits, negotiations with tax authorities and tax litigation. She has also developed expertise in the technology sector. Ariane is a member of the Baker McKenzie EMEA Tax Dispute Resolution Steering Committee.

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2005, Ariane holds a DESS in Corporate Taxation from Université Paris IX Paris-Dauphine and a DEA in Business Law from Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. 

Ariane was the IFA's French rapporteur for the 2018 Congress on topic 1 "Anti-avoidance measures of general nature and scope - GAAR and other rules" and regularly participates in seminars on international tax litigation and sector-specific tax topics. 

She is notably recognized as a "Leading Individual" in the Tax Litigation category of the 2023 Legal 500 EMEA France ranking.

Sophie Caulliez is promoted Partner in the Corporate Tax department which she joined in 2014

 
Sophie Caulliez has been a member of Baker McKenzie's tax group in Paris since 2014 andadvises leading local and international clients on international tax matters, corporate reorganizations and mergers & acquisitions. Sophie also advises clients on general tax planning and audits across a wide range of industry sectors including healthcare, hospitality, aviation and consumer goods.

Sophie holds a post-graduate diploma in corporate taxation, a bachelor's degree in management and a post-graduate diploma in finance from Université Paris Dauphine. She is ranked in the "Ones to watch" category in 2023 by Best Lawyers.

Johanna Da Costa has been promoted Partner in the Corporate Tax department, having joined Baker McKenzie's Tax team in Paris in 2014.

Johanna Da Costa specializes in general corporate and international taxation. She advises leading local and international clients on domestic and international tax issues, including global acquisition transactions and complex group reorganizations for multinational companies, on one-off needs and tax audits.

Her practice encompasses tax structuring, tax due diligence, negotiation of tax aspects of transaction documentation and post-transaction integration. Johanna acts for clients in several key industries, including luxury goods, pharmaceuticals, media and digital content, software and information technology.

Johanna holds a Specialized Master in International Business Law and Management from ESSEC Business School (2013), as well as a Master 2 in Business Law and Taxation (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, 2012). She is ranked in the "Ones to Watch" category in 2023 by Best Lawyers.

Eléonore d'Anthonay has been promoted Partner in Baker McKenzie's Employment Law department, which she joined in 2009.

Eléonore d'Anthonay specializes in employment law, both in individual relations (individual dismissals, negotiation of executive departures and packages, etc.) and collective relations (redundancy procedures for economic reasons, social aspects of reorganizations (in particular consultation of the CSE), collective bargaining, collective disputes, employee savings and profit-sharing).

Eléonore completed an exchange program from October 2014 to March 2015 in Baker McKenzie's London office. She was also seconded one day a week to a major client of the Firm from June 2015 to May 2016.

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2009, Eléonore holds a DEA in International and European Commercial Litigation from the University of Paris X Nanterre and a Master's degree in Private Law from the University of Paris X Nanterre.

Clotilde Guyot-Réchard has been promoted Partner in Baker McKenzie's Litigation & Arbitration department in Paris, which she joined in 2013.

A member of the Paris and New York bars, Clotilde Guyot-Réchard joined Baker McKenzie in Paris in January 2013 as a trainee. Her practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation (breach of contract, pre-contractual liability, unfair competition, follow on actions, protection of business secrets, etc.), as well as corporate litigation (post-acquisition disputes, shareholder disputes, directors' liability, etc.). 

As a member of Baker McKenzie's Investigations, Compliance & Ethics group, Clotilde also assists companies and their directors with issues of corruption, influence peddling and misuse of corporate assets. Clotilde represents her clients in audits carried out by the French Anti-Corruption Agency, and is frequently involved in national and cross-border internal investigations, notably concerning corruption and fraud. 

She also advises companies and their executives on a wide range of environmental, social and corporate governance issues (duty of care, greenwashing, directors’ reporting obligations, etc.).

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2014 and the New York Bar in 2016, she holds a Master of Laws - LL.M from the University of California at Berkeley, a Master II in International Private Law and International Business from the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, and a Master I in International Business Law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Xavier Salvatore has been promoted Partner in Baker McKenzie's Litigation & Arbitration department, which he joined in 2011.

Xavier Salvatore joined Baker McKenzie's Litigation & Arbitration group in Paris in October 2011. He was also seconded for a year to the Litigation & Government Enforcement Department in the Chicago office. Specialized in civil and commercial litigation, Xavier’s practice focuses mainly on real estate litigation (contractual disputes, civil liability, compulsory execution of sales, etc.) and he also specializes in commercial leases. He assists companies in disputes relating to the payment of rent and the performance of repair work, as well as in eviction proceedings. Xavier has a regular practice in construction law (litigation relating to builder's liability, implementation of the completion guarantee, ten-year guarantee, damage insurance, etc.).

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2011, Xavier holds a University Diploma in International Business Litigation, a Master 1 in Business Law and a Master 2 in Contract Law and Commercial Practices from the University of Paris XII.

Jean-Baptiste Tristram has been promoted Partner in Baker McKenzie's Tax practice, where he has been a member since September 2015.

Jean-Baptiste Tristram joined Baker McKenzie's tax group in Paris in 2015. In 2019, he was seconded for six months to the firm's New York  office as part of the Baker McKenzie Associate Training Program. 

Jean-Baptiste advises leading international and local clients on international tax and transfer pricing, planning and defense matters in a variety of industry sectors, including consumer goods, luxury goods, pharmaceuticals, information technology, as well as asset management. More specifically, he assists clients with the design and implementation of transfer pricing policies for multinational companies, advance pricing agreements, tax audits and out-of-court procedures. 

Jean-Baptiste holds a Master 2 in Business Law and Taxation from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (2013) as well as a Master 1 in Business Law from the University of Lille (2011). He is ranked in the "Ones to Watch" category in 2023 by Best Lawyers.

Hugo Dickhardt has been promoted Counsel in Baker McKenzie's Employment Law department in Paris, which he joined in 2020.
 
Hugo Dickhardt oversees the employment litigation practice and advises French and international companies on sensitive individual and collective disputes before the relevant courts.
 
Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2012, he holds a CAPA (École du Centre-Ouest des Avocats de Poitiers) and a Master 2 in Labor Law from the University of Orléans (2009).

Olivia Chriqui-Guiot has been promoted Counsel in Baker McKenzie's Competition & Distribution department in Paris, which she joined in 2021.
 
Olivia Chriqui-Guiot advises and litigates before competition authorities and national and European courts on issues relating to merger control, cartels and abuse of dominant position, as well as actions for damages and state aid. Her experience covers a wide range of sectors, including media, telecommunications, digital platforms, banking, fashion and retail.

Admitted to the New York Bar in 2013 and to the Paris Bar in 2014, Olivia is a graduate of the University of Essex and the London School of Economics. She also holds a Master 2 in economic law from Sciences Po Paris (2012).

Elise Favier elected Counsel in Baker McKenzie's M&A department in Paris, which she joined in 2015
 
Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2012, Elise Favier joined the firm in 2015 as an associate before becoming senior associate in 2017.

Elise advises French and foreign clients on the structuring and implementation of domestic and multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions, joint ventures and intra-group restructurings, and on corporate law matters more generally.

After studying at the University of Strasbourg and at the London School of Economics, she obtained a Master 2 in European Economic Law at Sciences Po Paris and a Master 2 DJCE at the University of Cergy-Pontoise.
 
Philippe Fernandes elected Counsel in Baker McKenzie's Personal Tax department in Paris, which he joined in 2018

Philippe Fernandes specializes in wealth taxation, particularly in an international context. He advises entrepreneurs and individuals, both resident and non-resident, on all matters relating to their personal taxation, for example in the structuring of their professional and personal investments, the structuring of their real estate assets or the organization of family succession. He also assists clients with their tax filing obligations (tax returns, IFI, trusts, etc.) and in the event of tax audits or litigation.

Philippe is also involved in structuring executive and employee compensation, employee share ownership and mobility, both nationally and internationally.

A member of the Paris Bar since January 2012, Philippe holds a Master 1 in Notarial Law and a Master 2 in Tax Law from the University of Paris 2 Panthéon Assas.
