Biography

Xavier Salvatore is a partner in the Paris office focusing on complex business disputes. Xavier participated in the Firm’s Associate Training Program (ATP), where he handled business disputes for the Chicago office’s Litigation and Government Enforcement Practice Group.

Practice Focus

Xavier is experienced in litigation on a national and international level, focusing on civil and commercial litigation. He provides strategic advice, in pre-litigation or litigation phases, and represents clients before French courts.

Xavier mainly focuses on real estate litigation (contractual disputes, civil liability, specific performance of sale, etc.) and in commercial leases.

Furthermore, Xavier regularly practices in construction law (litigation relating to builder's liability, implementation of the completion guarantee, 10-year guarantee, damage insurance, etc.).

Xavier also has acquired experience in criminal law. He is frequently in support of other practice groups when criminal law questions arise in their cases.

  • Representing clients in product liabilities cases (follow up of expertise proceedings, recalls and proceedings on the merits) in various sectors (construction and automotive).

  • Representing a major IT company in a real estate litigation related to the replacement of the building’s technical management system of the headquarter.

  • Representing of foreign company in multiple real estate disputes relating to commercial leases (the payment of rent, the performance of repair work as well as in eviction proceedings).

  • Acting for clients asking for the specific performance of the sale of a Villa in the South of France.

  • Acting for a dairy company in a dispute before the Criminal Court related to a water pollution incident.

  • Assisted a client operating in the Healthcare sector with respect to a harassment and reputational case.
