On 14 April 2023, Baker McKenzie client Hudbay Minerals Inc. and Copper Mountain Mining Corporation announced a definitive agreement pursuant to which Hudbay will acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Copper Mountain for USD 439 million, pursuant to a court approved plan of arrangement. The combined company creates a premier Americas-focused copper producer.
