Biography

Alexander Künzelmann is an associate and member of the Corporate/M&A Practice Group in Baker McKenzie’s Frankfurt office. Prior to joining the firm in 2026, Alexander completed an LL.M. degree in international business and economics law in Los Angeles (California) and practiced law at other leading international law firms in Berlin and Frankfurt with focus on Private Equity, Venture Capital and energy law.

Practice Focus

Alexander advises international and domestic clients on cross-border public and private M&A transactions, complex corporate reorganizations and general corporate law matters. He acts for financial and strategic investors as well as family-owned companies across industries.

Representative Legal Matters

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie:

  • Advised a major UK Private Equity firm in the carve-out and divestment of one of its US-based portfolio companies (chemical industry) for approx. USD 150 million.
  • Advised a leading German AI communications provider in its EUR 200 million VC-backed financing round, leading to its status as “unicorn” with a market valuation exceeding EUR 1 billion.
