Biography

Robert is a partner in Baker McKenzie's London Corporate Group. He advises regularly on the structuring and negotiating of cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and complex carve-outs, with a particular focus on the Industrials and Agribusiness sectors.

Robert joined Baker McKenzie's London office in 2008 and was promoted to partner in 2021.

In addition, Robert has a particular focus on the CIS and CEE, having previously been based in the region from 2010-2015.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Represented Veon and Verny Capital on the sale of Beeline Kyrgyzstan to Eldik Bank OJSC.

  • Represented Novonesis on its agreement to acquire dsm-firmenich’s share of the Feed Enzyme Alliance for EUR 1.5 billion.

  • Represented Archer Daniels Midland on its acquisition of Vandamme Hungaria and related group entities.

  • Represented Novonesis on the global carve-out and sale of its lactase business to Kerry Group PLC.

  • Represented Chr. Hansen A/S on its EUR 12 billion merger with Novozymes.

  • Represented numerous US and European corporations on all aspects of their exit from the Russian market, including on corporate, commercial and sanctions considerations.

  • Represented Baker Hughes on the global carve-out and sale of its Nexus Controls business to GE.

  • Represented Chr. Hansen A/S on the global carve-out and sale of its Natural Colors Division.

  • Represented Emerson Electric Company on the carve-out and sale of its Therm-o-Disc business to One Rock Capital Partners.

  • Representing GSK on the establishment of its consumer healthcare joint venture with Pfizer.
