Lauren J. Stewart

Lauren has experience advising on hotel acquisition, disposal and management transactions including branded residences. She also has extensive experience in leading and coordinating the real estate aspects of multijurisdictional corporate transactions.

Lauren is also a member of the firm's Consumer Goods & Retail Global Industry Group. Lauren's practice has a particular focus on the retail and consumer sector frequently acting for clients in the fashion, consumer goods, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and luxury sectors. She acts for a wide range of clients many of whom are luxury brands and multinational companies, including property investment companies and corporate occupiers.

• Acting for a luxury accessories and fashion retailer on its European expansion programme including stand-alone stores, shopping centre units, outlet stores, and the development of its flagship store.
• In-house experience following secondments with Apple, and more recently Michael Kors. 
• Acting for a high-end Spanish fashion and beauty company in respect of the real estate aspects of its acquisition of a luxury skincare, fragrance and makeup company and more recently of its acquisition of a premium innovative skincare brand.
• Acting for a real estate fund management company in relation to management of a 700,000 sq. ft. prominent town centre retail scheme.
• Acting for an emerging real estate investment company on the acquisition of a UK commercial property portfolio and subsequent GBP 60 million refinance. 
• Leading the real estate aspects of a cross-border portfolio refinance on behalf of a global real estate investment, development and management firm.
• Leading on the real estate aspects of share and asset sales and acquisitions and joint ventures including carrying out due diligence, reporting, drafting and negotiating warranties and real estate provisions of sale agreements and post completion matters.
• Advising a global pharmaceutical company on the real estate aspects of a business reorganisation. 
• Acting for a national automotive servicing and repair company in relation to the acquisition of the freehold interests in a number of its leasehold sites.
• Acting for the vendor in relation to the real estate aspects of a GBP 250 million share acquisition of a UK airport.
• Advising an Asian investor on the GBP 160 million acquisition of a portfolio of 32 regional hotels in the UK.
