Biography
Ethan is an associate in the Firm's Corporate Practice Group based in London. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations across a wide variety of sectors, with a particular focus on digital infrastructure and healthcare.
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Ethan was a member of the Corporate and Commercial team in a top-tier New Zealand law firm.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advised Ooredoo Group on its strategic partnership with Iron Mountain relating to Ooredoo’s carrier-neutral data centre company, MENA Digital Hub.
- Advised Gulf Data Hub on the sale of a stake to global investment firm KKR as part of the first data center investment for KKR in the Middle East.
- Advised Sandoz AG on the sale of Sandoz’s Chinese business to Aspen Pharmacare Holdings Limited, and the purchase of four anaesthetic products in Europe from Aspen.
- Advised Blackstone on its acquisition of SEVES Group S.à rl.
- Advised The Bidvest Group on its acquisition of Citron Hygiene.
- Advised Tokyo-listed global insurer, Dai-ichi Life, on its billion dollar cross-border acquisition of New Zealand life insurer, Partners Life.*
