Biography

Meredith is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Corporate M&A practice group in London. Since joining the Firm as a trainee solicitor in 2021, Meredith has acted on a number of complex high value, cross-border transactions. In 2023, Meredith was seconded to Baker McKenzie's Singapore office.

Meredith's practice focuses on cross-border and domestic M&A and joint ventures, as well as advising on intra-group reorganisations. Meredith is a member of Baker McKenzie’s Healthcare and Life Sciences and Consumer Goods and Retail Industry Groups.

In addition to client work, Meredith is actively involved in a number of the firm's pro bono initiatives.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advising a multinational pharmaceutical company on its global divestment of an oral prescription medication.
  • Advising a multinational biotechnology company on its joint venture and strategic partnership with an early-stage company specialising in the research, development, manufacture and commercialisation of dairy-derived functional ingredients using fermentation technology.
  • Advising Newly Weds Foods on the acquisition of sauce and food ingredients manufacturer, JDM Food Group.
  • Advising numerous corporations on all aspects of their exit from the Russian market, including advising on multiple transaction structures, both “friendly” and “unfriendly” transactions, governmental commission strategies, and enforcement of temporary management by the Russian government.
  • Advising Colt Technology Services on the disposal of six European data centres to NorthC and two London data centres to a UK-based business, both buyers owned by funds managed by DWS Group.
  • Advising DPD on its joint venture and strategic partnership with YEEP! for the development of an out-of-home parcel network in the UK.
  • Advising on the proposed acquisition by an Indian automotive systems and components manufacturer of a global engineered solutions business via competition auction.
  • Advising Takeda Pharmaceutical on the divestment of its Austrian manufacturing site to GTCR’s portco Corza Medical.
  • Advising GSK on the separation of its biopharma and consumer healthcare businesses into its consumer healthcare joint venture with Pfizer, and the operational aspects of the subsequent listing of the joint venture company, Haleon plc, on the London Stock Exchange.
  • Advising Autajon Packaging on the acquisition of a packaging business in the UK.
  • Advising SUEZ on the divestment of its UK business.
  • Advising Puig, S.L., the Spanish family-owned fashion and fragrance company, on the acquisition of Byredo, the Swedish luxury brand.

  • Advised an arts charity on their standard terms and conditions to be used when hiring out their venue.
  • Provided pro bono advice to multiple children on their application for British citizenship, in conjunction with a children's charity.
