Biography

Meredith is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Corporate M&A practice group in London. Since joining the Firm as a trainee solicitor in 2021, Meredith has acted on a number of complex high value, cross-border transactions. In 2023, Meredith was seconded to Baker McKenzie's Singapore office.

In addition to client work, Meredith is actively involved in a number of the Firm's Pro Bono initiatives. She is also a member of the Firm's diversity and inclusion affinity groups.

Practice Focus

Meredith's practice focuses on cross-border and domestic M&A and joint ventures, as well as advising on intra-group reorganisations.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised Autajon Packaging on the acquisition of a packaging business in the UK.
  • Advised SUEZ on the divestment of its UK business.
  • Advised Puig, S.L., the Spanish family-owned fashion and fragrance company, on the acquisition of Byredo, the Swedish luxury brand.
  • Represented numerous corporations on all aspects of their exit from the Russian market, including on corporate, commercial, IP and sanctions considerations.

Corporate Responsibility

  • Advised an arts charity on their standard terms and conditions to be used when hiring out their venue.
  • Provided pro bono advice to multiple children on their application for British citizenship, in conjunction with a children's charity.
  • Conducted research on local council budgeting for an adult social care charity.
