Biography

Nikki is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Corporate M&A practice group in London. Since joining the Firm as a paralegal in 2019 and then re-joining the Firm as a trainee solicitor in 2020, Nikki has acted on a number of complex cross-border transactions.

Nikki's practice focusses on cross-border and domestic M&A and joint ventures, as well as advising on intra-group reorganisations. In addition to client work, Nikki is actively involved in the Firm's pro bono initiatives.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Acting for Siemens on its acquisition of Senseye, a leading provider of AI-powered solutions for industrial machine performance and reliability.

  • Acting for Galapagos NV on the sale of its Jyseleca (filgotinib) business to Alfasigma for EUR 50 million upfront, milestone payments of up to EUR 120 million and royalties on European sales.

  • Acting for a global pharmaceutical group on the divestment of a manufacturing facility in Eastern Europe.

  • Advising a holding company and investment fund in the beauty and wellness market on a reorganisation of its brand ownership structure, including complex US, Cayman and Jersey corporate law considerations, the implementation of a revised JV arrangement and multiple rounds of debt financing.

  • Advising McDonalds on a UK joint venture transaction and corporate governance queries.

  • Advising a client on all aspects of its exit from the Russian market via an auction process in the context of a "friendly" transaction, including on corporate, commercial and sanctions considerations

  • Advising a global consultancy company on the planning and implementation of a reorganisation of its global corporate structure and adoption of a revised corporate constitutional framework, including a complex implementation procedure in India and the UAE.

  • Providing various corporate clients with regular ad hoc advice on corporate maintenance matters including intra-group reorganisations.

  • Coordinating various due diligence processes.

  • Acting as local counsel on a number of multi-jurisdictional transactions.
