Nikki Bradford
Biography
Nikki is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Corporate M&A practice group in London. Nikki joined the firm as a paralegal in 2019 and then re-joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2020. Nikki qualified as a solicitor in 2022.
Nikki's practice focusses on cross-border M&A and joint ventures, intra-group reorganisations, and corporate advisory. Nikki is a member of Baker McKenzie's Consumer Goods and Retail and Healthcare and Life Sciences Industry Groups.
In addition to client work, Nikki is actively involved in the Firm's diversity and inclusion and pro bono initiatives, and is the Pro Bono Champion for the London Corporate M&A Group.
Nikki recently returned from secondment to the Corporate Secretaries department of Unilever PLC; where she oversaw Legal Entity Management. Nikki also provided strategic support to the M&A, Treasury, PLC, Tax, and Finance teams.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advising Unilever on local or regional acquisitions and disposals, most recently: the disposal of its home care business in Colombia and Ecuador.
- Advising Waldencast Ventures, the holding company and investment fund that incubates and accelerates early stage beauty and wellness brands, on a corporate reorganisation and equity investment round, including complex US, Cayman and Jersey corporate law considerations, the implementation of a revised JV arrangement and multiple rounds of debt and equity financing.
- Advising McDonalds on a UK joint venture transaction and corporate governance matters.
- Advising a consumer sector client on all aspects of its proposed exit from the Russian market via a competitive auction process, including on corporate, commercial and sanctions considerations.
- Advising Galapagos on the sale of its Jyseleca (filgotinib) business to Alfasigma.
- Advising Servier on the acquisition of KEA-0193, a potential treatment for Fragile X syndrome (FXS) from the biotechnology company Kaerus Bioscience
- Advising a global pharmaceutical group on the divestment of a manufacturing facility in Eastern Europe.
- Advising a global biotechnology company on the strategic acquisition of vaccine-related assets from a distressed seller.
- Advising Siemens on its acquisition of Senseye, a leading provider of AI-powered solutions for industrial machine performance and reliability.
- Advising Presidio Inc. on its acquisition of transACT Technology Solutions, a UK-based digital transformation company.
- Advising Novonesis on its acquisition of dsm-firmenich’s share of the Feed Enzyme Alliance for EUR 1.5 billion.
- Advising a joint venture between VEON Ltd and Verny Capital on the sale of Beeline Kyrgyzstan to Eldik Bank OJSC.
- Advising a global consultancy company on the planning and implementation of a reorganisation of its global corporate structure and adoption of a revised corporate constitutional framework, including a complex implementation procedure in India and the UAE.
- Multiple legal entity and internal debt rationalisation projects for companies in various sectors.
