Baker McKenzie has advised Scholastic Corporation (NASDAQ: SCHL) on its definitive agreement to acquire Cottage Door Press, a leading independent publisher of early childhood books, for approximately USD 71 million.

Cottage Door Press is the largest independent children's publisher in the United States, known for its early childhood and novelty book formats. The acquisition expands Scholastic's position in the early childhood publishing market and further broadens its publishing portfolio. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
