Nora Ovary Papp

Baker McKenzie has promoted Nóra Óváry-Papp to counsel. Nóra joined Baker McKenzie's employment team in Budapest in 2019. As a lead attorney, she advises the Firm's clients on a wide range of employment matters, from immigration issues to collective labor law and employment protection issues.

She has extensive experience in advising domestic and multinational companies on employment matters, including traditional employment issues, management terminations and other key employment services, business transfer transactions, restructuring and other special projects. She also has experience in whistleblowing matters, assisting clients in conducting employee interviews, drafting questionnaires, conducting training, advising on employer decisions and developing and reviewing workplace protocols in the field. She has extensive practical experience in atypical employment, both nationally and internationally.

With Nóra's appointment, we will further strengthen our employment law advisory services, enabling us to provide a higher level of service in this area as well. Our office now has four counsel at our clients' disposal, from dispute resolution to data protection and competition law.

Nóra graduated from the faculty of law of Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. Previously, she worked in law firms with international clientele, where she advised on a number of domestic and cross-border corporate and banking and finance transactions, in addition to employment law matters. She also gained significant experience in data protection matters.

Thanks to her professional skills and up-to-date knowledge, she regularly delivers lectures and training, publishes articles on employment law and gives interviews on various employment law issues. In addition, she will start teaching at a university in September.
