Biography

Rouven Reuter is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Frankfurt office and a member of the Corporate/M&A Practice Group. Prior to joining the Firm in 2019, he worked for a leading international law firm for two years, specializing on M&A transactions and corporate reorganizations. Rouven went inhouse for one and a half years in 2022 and joined a global leader for industrial electrolyzers as Head of Corporate Office, being responsible for corporate governance and financing rounds. He rejoined Baker McKenzie in November 2023.

Practice Focus

Rouven advises clients on all types of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, including joint ventures, private equity, and venture capital. He also acts for national and international clients on legal aspects of domestic and cross-border corporate reorganizations and general corporate law.

  • Regularly advises Tencent on venture capital transactions.
  • Advised Rakuten on a long-term partnership with 1&1 to build its own 5G mobile network.
  • Regularly advises Mercedes-Benz on corporate venture capital investments in the US and Europe.
  • Advised Next.e.GO Mobile SE on management buyout by private equity company nd Industrial Investments.
  • Advised Chr. Hansen Holding A/S on acquisition of Jennewein Biotechnologie GmbH, a leading player in the Human Milk Oligosaccharides market, for EUR 310 million.
  • Advised Aquinos Group on acquisition of the bedding business line of Recticel.
