Practice Focus

For over 10 years, Christian’s practice is dedicated to advising clients on both collective and individual employment law matters, with a particular emphasis on navigating the complexities of multijurisdictional projects. He supports organizations in addressing the legal challenges that arise from cross-border employment structures and helps them anticipate and respond to evolving regulatory requirements. This approach ensures that clients remain compliant and strategically positioned in a rapidly changing legal landscape.

A core part of Christian’s practice involves the structuring and legal assessment of multijurisdictional contingent workforce models. He assists clients in deploying external labor through platforms and service providers, ensuring compliance with local classification rules, social protection standards, and emerging EU directives on platform work. In addition to providing strategic advice, Christian also defends clients against prosecution and public authorities in cases involving alleged misclassification of workers, helping organizations manage legal risks and safeguard their interests.

His practice further encompasses algorithmic management, with a particular focus on employee data privacy and the legal boundaries of digital oversight in the workplace. Christian supports clients in navigating GDPR compliance and the evolving complexities of AI, including emerging EU frameworks governing automated decision-making and digital HR tools. He advises on the implications of AI-driven management systems and helps organizations respond to new regulatory challenges in this rapidly developing area.

Christian regularly advises on outsourcing and employment-related aspects of corporate transactions. He assists clients in structuring and managing employment risks in carve-outs and integrations, and aligning outsourcing models with labor law requirements across jurisdictions. His work includes strategic guidance on vendor transitions, TUPE-like obligations, and co-employment risks.
