Nastasia Dumitru

Nastasia Dumitru is a counsel in the M&A team of Baker McKenzie Luxembourg. With over 13 years of international experience, Nastasia is a key member of team's M&A practice. Her primary area of expertise is M&A transactions and corporate governance, with a particular focus on bilateral sales, auction processes and transactional carve-outs.

She is actively involved in a wide range of M&A focused projects, assisting both international and domestic clients throughout all the stages of customary M&A transactions (both cross-border and local), such as share deals, asset deals, mergers, spinoffs, joint ventures, or transactional carve-outs). Her expertise includes notably structuring of complex transactions, as well as drafting and negotiating of the main transaction documents, as well as the coordination of a transaction to completion. When not in a leading role, Nastasia is instrumental in providing support to our global teams on cross-border transactions from a local law perspective.

In terms of business sectors, Nastasia is familiar with the regulatory implications of a M&A transaction in a heavily regulated industry, having in-depth knowledge in the financial services, medical services, IT and IP, and agribusiness.

Nastasia is currently advising a wide array of clients, from international clients, listed companies, international/regional groups, institutional investors, to start-ups and local entrepreneurs.

When she is not actively advising on M&A matters, Nastasia is actively involved in drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts and actively supports clients with succession planning and implementation.
