Baker & McKenzie Amsterdam N.V.

Biography

Meho Cerimovic is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s Amsterdam and Global Compensation & Benefits tax practice. Meho joined the firm in March 2023, before having worked at a Big-Four firm’s Employment Tax practice for nearly three and a half years. Meho’s way of working is highly aimed at providing integrated, efficient and practical solutions to complex tax and legal matters, with a client-central approach.

Practice Focus

Meho advises national and international (listed-)clients in various industries (such as the public sector, financial sector, telecom, pharmaceutical industry etcetera.) about broad-ranged tax matters relating to income from labour and employment, with a very specialized focus on expatriate- equity- and executive compensation. In addition to this, Meho also advises his clients regarding other Dutch wage tax matters such as:

  • Social plans and (excessive-)redundancies;
  • The design, optimization and implementation of employee benefits (i.a. through the work-related costs scheme);
  • (National and international) social security issues;
  • Designing and implementing processes to ensure (tax-)compliance; and
  • (National and international) restructurings and mergers & acquisitions.

Next-to his work as a tax advisor at Baker McKenzie, Meho is also working as a freelance author at a Dutch publisher - which is specialized in publishing professional tax literature – where he is writing commentaries about legal provisions for Dutch wage tax purposes.
