Baker McKenzie has advised CMA CGM Group, a global leader in sea, land, air shipping and logistics solutions, on the signing of definitive agreements with Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) establishing a joint venture to develop, finance, build and operate Terminal 4 at Jeddah Islamic Port in Saudi Arabia with an aggregate planned investment of USD 434 million. 

The strategic project represents a significant milestone in the continued expansion and global connectivity of Saudi Arabia's maritime and logistics infrastructure. Once developed, the new state-of-the-art Terminal 4 is expected to further strengthen Jeddah Islamic Port's position as a key regional gateway and support the Kingdom's ambitions to become a leading global logistics hub under Vision 2030.

Baker McKenzie advised CMA CGM Group on all legal aspects of the transaction, including negotiation of relevant agreements. The multidisciplinary team included Partners Matthew Martin and Marcos Spanos, Luke Meehan and Senior Associate Yousef Bugaighis.
