Baker McKenzie has advised BizAway, the Italian scale-up at the forefront of the digitalization of business travel, on the acquisition of Uniglobe Alliance Travel, one of the Netherlands' leading travel management companies. Effective from 1 July 2026, the acquisition marks another important milestone in the company's international expansion and further strengthens its presence across the Benelux region.
Founded in 2006, Uniglobe Alliance Travel has built a strong reputation for delivering expert, client-focused business travel services. Operating from five offices across Rotterdam, Arnhem, Goes, Almere, and Alkmaar, the company has developed long-standing client relationships and extensive local market expertise over nearly two decades. By bringing Uniglobe Alliance Travel into the group, BizAway combines this deep knowledge of the Dutch market with its proprietary technology, expert in-house support, and growing global network. The acquisition expands BizAway's footprint in the Netherlands, and strengthens its ability to support medium and large organizations with increasingly complex travel needs.
Uniglobe Alliance Travel will continue to operate under its existing brand as part of BizAway Group and within the Uniglobe Travel network until the end of this year, ensuring full continuity for clients, suppliers, and employees. The transaction is backed by Mayfair Equity Partners and supports BizAway's long-term strategy of building a leading pan-European business travel company by combining local expertise, proprietary technology, and outstanding human support.
The Baker McKenzie team was led by Corporate M&A partner Joost Polman, together with Philip Lückmann, Mandy Chin and Sem Putman (all Corporate M&A), and also included Koen Bos, Willem-Jan Treuren, Anastasia Boonen-Vaes, Rafi Salhi, Roderick Beudeker, Emma Glazener and Jim van Tongeren.
