HHP Law Firm (HHP) has advised a group of lenders on IDR 8.9 trillion senior secured facilities agreement to PT Air Bersih Jakarta, a company of Moya Asia group, for the development of drinking water supply system in Jakarta.

The syndication was arranged by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited and PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk (OCBC NISP) in their capacity as the original mandated lead arranger and bookrunner and supported by a group of lenders, which includes BCA, OCBC NISP, PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank BTPN TBK, PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur Persero, PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk and PT Bank China Construction Bank Indonesia Tbk.

The signing of the facilities agreement marks a key milestone in the implementation of one of the biggest drinking water project in Jakarta, or even in Indonesia, which aims to provide the city's residents with universal access to piped drinking water by 2030 as conveyed by His Excellency Mr. Basuki Hadimuljono, the Minister of Public Works and Housing of Indonesia, during the signing ceremony.

Senior Partner Indri Pramitaswari (Mita) Guritno, who led the HHP team advising on the deal, commented: "We are honoured to advise the lenders in providing financing to PT Air Bersih Jakarta for this landmark drinking water project in Jakarta, which will play an important role in aiding the government's effort in mitigating land subsidence in the capital city brought about by an overextraction of groundwater."
