Global law firm Baker McKenzie has received the National Award of Innovation and Good Privacy Practice in the private sector category by the Mexican Data Protection Authority. The Firm receives this award alongside Mexico's Supreme Court of Justice, which was honored in the public sector category.
Our winning submission is a privacy legal tech solution, developed by the Firm, called Privacy All-Around. This tool assesses compliance against the Mexican self-regulation parameters published by INAI and provides a comprehensive overview and immediate actionable steps to compliance.
By leveraging solutions like Bryter and Legatics, the Firm aims to reduce the time clients spend undertaking government-mandated privacy audits by up to 80 percent.
Five privacy and cybersecurity experts, hired by the DPA, selected Baker McKenzie Mexico for this honor after assessing over 40 privacy innovation-related projects. This recent accolade reaffirms our commitment to delivering business solutions in an interconnected world and facilitating the application of new technologies and tools to increase efficiencies.
The award will be presented to the Baker McKenzie Mexico team in a formal ceremony at the DPA offices on International Privacy Day, 24 January 2023.
