Baker McKenzie has appointed Trudi Procter as a Partner in the Financial Services & Funds team of the Firm's Transactional Practice Group in Brisbane. Trudi was previously a partner at McCullough Robertson.

Baker McKenzie's National Managing Partner, Anthony Foley stated: "Trudi has an enviable mix of international and domestic expertise. We are excited to expand our successful Financial Services & Funds team with the addition of Trudi as a new partner in our growing Brisbane Office."

Trudi advises on all facets of financial services regulation and compliance. She has extensive experience in investment funds management and her work encompasses the full business lifecycle from setting up financial services businesses and funds to ongoing regulatory compliance. Trudi has a particular interest in payment systems, and she has acted for funds managers, financial planners and other Australian financial services licensees on a range of commercial transactions (including the acquisition and disposal of scheme assets).

In being appointed a partner at the Firm, Trudi stated: "The Firm enjoys an preeminent position in the global legal market and provides a terrific opportunity for me to grow my practice both within Australia and abroad."

In addition to her time as a partner at McCullough Robertson, Trudi has previously held roles at the Bank of Queensland and with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner in London.

As of 1 July 2022, Baker McKenzie expanded its Australian Funds and Financial Services offering with the promotion of Alan Darwin to the partnership, along with the promotion of Liam Hickey as a Partner in the Australian Financial Sponsors transactional team.
