The Specialist, Talent Management & Recruitment will:
To work closely with Recruitment Manager, Mexico to coordinate all non-Partner recruiting functions for the office and ensure all candidates receive a world-class candidate experience throughout the recruitment and selection process.  

Talent Management

To be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and to work closely with senior Talent Management Business Partners in supporting the Mexico attorneys and business professionals in accordance with North America Talent Management practices
Overall responsibilities 
  • In cooperation with Recruitment Manager, Mexico coordinate associate recruitment, law clerk/summer program and On Campus Interviews (OCI) for Mexico offices with a focus on attracting and hiring diverse talent
  • Participate in one recruiting sub-work stream (e.g., Recruitment Data/Reporting, Recruitment Marketing, Recruitment Social Media) 
  • Ensure coordination with the E2E Team across all service level requests to ensure support is seamless 
  • Be responsible for the following functional areas as it relates to supporting the NA Talent Management practices in Mexico: employee relations, training, performance management, on boarding, policy implementation, analytics, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance
Talent Management
  • Partner with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, and standards
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems
  • Monitor the performance evaluation program 
  • Lead recruitment effort for locally assigned open roles, students and temporary employees; and writes and places advertisements
  • Conduct new-employee orientations and exit interviews
  • Act as an employee relations specialist
  • Participate in administrative employee meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
  • Maintain company organization charts and employee directories
  • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed 
  • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs
  • Prepare reports as requested by management 
  • Review and monitor trends in attendance, PTO balances, overtime, and communicates with managers to make recommendations
  • Maintain compliance with local employment and benefits laws and regulations
Law Student OCI Recruitment
  • Coordinate law student outreach initiatives under direction of Student Recruitment work stream lead and Recruitment Manager, Mexico
  • Arrange law student on-campus interview schedules and ensure interviewers are confirmed
  • Support Recruitment Manager, Mexico to execute call-back interview process, ensuring timely hiring decisions are made in conjunction with local recruiting committees
  • With E2E support, ensure all invoices (e.g., moving; candidate reimbursements, etc.) are processed
  • Participate in relevant Mexico recruiting committee meetings 
Lateral Associate Recruitment
  • Alongside Recruitment Manager, Mexico, develop relationships with local recruiting agencies and other industry organizations to promote the Firm
  • Coordinate sourcing to hire recruitment process, with support from E2E Teams
  • Schedule and participate in routine check-ins with newly hired first year and lateral associates (e.g. 30, 60, 90 day check-ins)
Law Clerk/Summer Program
  • Work with Recruitment Manager to plan law clerk summer calendar, coordinate and execute summer events and activities; Attend law clerk calendar events as requested
  • Coordinate ongoing communications with law clerks prior to arrival, including: employment terms/conditions, travel arrangements, housing work assignments and mentor relationships
  • Develop and implement law clerk orientation and ensure their integration experience is of the highest quality and substance
  • Serve as a liaison with law clerks to address inquiries or other employment matters
Professional Business Services Recruitment 
  • In conjunction with Recruitment Manager, PBS, execute the delivery of recruitment for PBS positions in NA, as requested
Additional Duties
  • Review recruiting budget monthly with Recruitment Manager, Mexico to maintain accuracy of charges
  • Volunteer to participate in a minimum of one project as it relates to the annual NA Recruiting Action Plan and NA Talent Management Action Plan
  • Participate in various recruiter/talent management organizations to increase personal networking, knowledge sharing and promotion of the Firm
Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree focusing on Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Management, or other related areas; professional human resources certification would be beneficial
  • Good recruiting experience in a professional services organization and/or large law Firm, preferably with multi-office and in support of a diverse base of legal practices
  • Developing skills in direct sourcing methodologies and delivery
  • Able to bring good judgement and empathy to sensitive situations, maintaining confidentiality at all times 
  • Good knowledge of HR functional disciplines (employee relations, staffing, compensation, organizational development, training, and employee development)
  • Knowledge of local office employment laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent written and spoken English is required
  • Strong organizational skills and must be able to meet deadlines and multi-task in a matrix, fast-paced, professional services environment
  • Be an active member of various recruiter/talent management organizations
