Daniel Williams-De la Cruz
Biography
Daniel Williams joined Baker McKenzie in 2012 and is currently a senior associate in the Firm's Latin America transfer pricing practice at the Monterrey Office. His experience includes advisory services on the fields of transfer pricing and financial valuation for oil and gas and manufacturing companies, including support of economics legal positions. During 2017 and 2018, he performed as an economist in our Washington, DC office. In addition, between 2009 and 2012 Daniel performed as a transfer pricing auditor for the Mexican Tax Administration, conducting audits to participants of the oil and gas, electronics, manufacture, food processing and consumer products industries.
Practice Focus
Daniel provides advisory services in transfer pricing, economics and financial valuation. While he was auditor for the Mexican Tax Administration, he developed the audit strategies for companies belonging to the O&G, foods, manufacturing, consumer good and electronics industries. Moreover, as a consultant, he has collaborated in several audits and controversies, designing the defense strategy to be followed by the taxpayer, as well as APAs and MAP. Currently, he is responsible for several global transfer pricing documentation projects for companies in Mexico, North and South America.
