Sam Trowbridge
Biography
Sam Trowbridge is a partner in the Firm's London office and a member of the Corporate Tax team. Before joining the Firm in 2025, Sam was a partner in the London office of another leading international law firm.
Practice Focus
Sam advises on the tax aspects of private and public M&A transactions, with a particular focus on the tax structuring of UK and international private equity transactions and their related financings, restructuring and management equity arrangements. Sam also advises investment fund managers on tax and structuring issues relating to their funds, including carried interest and co-investment arrangements.

- Advised Advent on the acquisition of a majority stake in Reckitt’s Essential Home for up to USD 4.8 billion.*

- Advised TPG Rise Climate and GIC on the financing to acquire Techem Group for EUR 6.7 billion.*
- Advised Strategic Value Partners on the cash offer for Nordic Paper.*
- Advised Advent International on the sale of Evri to funds managed by affiliates of Apollo for approximately USD 2.7 billion.*
- Advised EP Group on its recommended cash offer for International Distribution Services, implying an enterprise value of GBP 5.2 billion.*
- Advised Gen II Fund Services on the acquisition of Crestbridge.*
- Advised Iconic Sports on its investment in Eagle Football, which acquired a significant controlling stake in Olympique Lyonnais Groupe SA.*
