Peder Oxhammar
Biography
Peder Oxhammar heads Baker McKenzie’s IPTech team in Stockholm. He has 30 years of experience in all aspects of intellectual property. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie in December 2012, he worked in private practice in one of Sweden's largest patent firms as well as in his own law firm. He has also worked ten years at major pharmaceutical companies AstraZeneca and Novartis, managing multijurisdictional patent and trademark litigation worldwide.
Peder is recognized as a Patent Star, Trademark Star and Transactional Star by the leading IP directory IP Stars (2025). He practices mainly within the field of intellectual property with special focus on patents, contentious matters, strategy and licensing. He advises clients in a wide range of industries in Sweden, including pharmaceuticals, computer games, electronics and defense.

- Advised STADA Arzneimittel AG group (“STADA”), which is an international pharmaceutical group that focuses on a three-pillar strategy consisting of consumer healthcare products, generics and specialty pharma, on the acquisition of rights to the Locobase® dermatology brand from Karo Healthcare, including commercial rights to the Locobase® skincare range in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
- Advised Nestlé Skin Health in global licensing agreement for injectable treatment product.
- Represented C-Rad Positioning AB in patent litigation and patent entitlement cases.
- Represented several international gambling companies in administrative sanctions litigation, including at the Supreme administrative court.
- Managed global patent litigation project involving more than 30 countries, including the USA, for major pharmaceutical company.
- Represented multinational med-tech company in Swedish patent litigation.
- Advised Erik Penser Bank in its divestment to Carnegie.
- Advised Xbrane on the sale of Xbrane's R&D operations and the biosimilar candidate XB003 to Alvotech.
