Biography

Lina Marcela Millán Acosta is a lawyer from the University of Cartagena, a professional in labor law from Universidad del Rosario, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in labor law at the same university.

With over six years of experience, she advises national and international clients on individual labor law and immigration matters. Lina is a member of the Colombian Association of Migration Law (ACODEMI) and of the Pro Bono Committee at Baker McKenzie Bogotá.

Before joining the Firm, Lina worked as a senior consultant at PwC Colombia.

Practice Focus

Her practice focuses on comprehensive labor law advisory services, including employment contracting, workforce management and termination, disciplinary proceedings, negotiations, and contract terminations, as well as structuring compensation schemes and addressing day-to-day legal inquiries. Additionally, she has significant expertise in Colombian immigration regulations, including visa procurement and the regularization of foreign workers’ immigration status.

Lina has led labor and social security due diligence processes for four years, participating in audits of major companies in key sectors such as aviation, finance, retail, services, technology, and oil.

Her approach is centered on developing legal strategies that mitigate risks, ensure regulatory compliance in Colombia, and facilitate the international mobility of talent.
