Satoshi Kazama is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group at Baker McKenzie's Tokyo office.

Practice Focus

Satoshi focuses his practice on real estate transactional and advisory matters and project finance. He has recently been engaged in structured real estate development and acquisition transactions and project finance, including solar power generation and lease transactions.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Represented Japanese and foreign financial institutions, funds and asset management companies in various real estate liquidation projects — including hotels, offices, commercial facilities and data centers — using TMK and TK-GK structures, provided legal advice and assisted in preparing and negotiating agreements.

  • Advised foreign companies on their office leases in Japan (including the preparation of agreements).

  • Advised foreign companies on the sale and purchase of real estate in Japan, including the preparation of agreements.

  • Advised domestic and foreign companies as well as financial institutions with respect to solar power generation and renewable energy projects, including legal due diligence, acquisitions of project sites and financing.
