
Kana Itabashi
Biography
Kana Itabashi is a member of the Corporate / Mergers & Acquisitions, Environmental and Labor / Employment practice groups in the Firm’s Tokyo office and has over ten years of legal experience. From 2007 to 2009, she was seconded to the principal investment department of a Japanese securities company, and engaged in a variety of investment matters including corporate rehabilitation, private equity investment, emission trading and non-performing loan investments. Ms. Itabashi is a native Japanese speaker and is also fluent in English.
Practice Focus
Ms. Itabashi’s practice focuses on the areas of domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity investment and organizational restructuring as well as commercial matters. She also has extensive experience in handling matters involving domestic and international employment law, general employment advice, employment litigation, employment regulation, cross-border counseling and privacy transactions. She has acted for clients from various industries, including IT, business outsourcing solutions, logistics, among others. Ms. Itabashi also advises clients on domestic and cross-border employment issues involved in mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and global audits. Ms. Itabashi's practice also includes a strong focus on environmental law compliance with a heavy concentration in soil contamination issues arising through mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring.
