Jaap Huenges Wajer is an associate with the Baker McKenzie Amsterdam Indirect Tax team. He his experience covers among others various real estate projects, ranging from single building blocs, including offices and residential, to larger international real estate portfolios.
Furthermore, he advises companies on customs related matters, such as Brexit restructuring, product classifications, excise linked cross border activities within the market of European Union and VAT advice in respect to the aforementioned.
Jaap’s activities within the field of indirect tax allow him to assist companies on a broad spectrum from entering the market of the European Union to a national level within a EU member state. As such he has a broad understanding of supply chains involving various types of goods and the real estate market.
He joined the Baker McKenzie Amsterdam Indirect Tax team in October of 2018. At his previous firm, as part of the VAT and Real Estate Team, he assisted European clients in various industries ranging from real estate investment funds to companies active within the energy sector.
