Biography

Tiffany Huang practices in the areas of employment and corporate law, and is the head of the Firm’s Construction and Power Project practice groups in Taipei. She obtained her LL.B. and LL.M. degrees from National Cheng Chi University and earned her LL.M. degree from the University of Washington, Seattle in 1989. Ms. Huang is currently a board member of The Arbitration Association of the Republic of China.

Practice Focus

Ms. Huang focuses her practice on construction and major infrastructure project-related works. Since joining the Firm, she has had substantial involvement with construction contact and dispute-related works as well as major infrastructure projects works.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Acting as the developer's legal counsel on its development of a 960 MW gas-fired power plant in Taoyuan County, Taiwan, representing the developer to negotiate EPC, O&M, FSA (LNG supply contract), PPA, loan agreements and other related contracts of the project.
  • Acting as the developer's legal counsel on its development of a 480 MW gas-fired power plant in Taoyuan County, Taiwan, representing the developer to negotiate EPC, O&M, FSA (LNG supply contract), PPA, loan agreements and other related contracts of the project.
  • Acting for one of the bidders of Taipower’s Tah-Tarn LNG supply tender in relation to the supply of LNG to a 4,000 MW gas-fired power plant in Taiwan, including advising the bidder in the upstream LNG supply contract.
  • Acting for an international gas engineering company to negotiate the terminal EPC contract with the developer.
  • Acting as the developer's legal counsel on its development of a 670 MW gas-fired power plant in Chiayi County, Taiwan, representing the developer to negotiate EPC, O&M, FSA (LNG supply contract), PPA, loan agreements and other related contracts of the project.
  • Acting as the developer's legal counsel representing the developer to negotiate EPC, PPA and other related contracts.
  • Representing the leading applicant of Airport Link BOT project for various issues relating to concession agreement, system contract, project consultants contracts and land development issues.
  • Representing the turnkey contractor in various time extension and cost claims against the government procurement office.
  • Representing bidders/contractors for bidding matters or contract disputes with the owner.
  • Representing a bidder for bidding matters advising suppliers in participating/bidding TPC contracts.
