Biography

Alexandra is an Associate in the Employment & Compensation Department of Baker McKenzie in London. She joined Baker  McKenzie in September 2018 as a trainee. As part of her training contract, Alexandra spent time in the Pensions, Employment, M&A and IP Tech departments. She subsequently qualified as an Associate and was admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales in September 2020. Alexandra has completed a part-time secondment to a client in the financial services sector.

Alexandra is currently on an international secondment to the Baker McKenzie Melbourne office.

Practice Focus

Alexandra advises global clients on a wide variety of employment law matters across a number of sectors, including financial services, pharmaceutical, IT and retail, in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

Representative Legal Matters

Since joining the Employment department, Alexandra has worked on a variety of matters including the following:

  • Litigation: Assisting in the defence of a wide array of Employment Tribunal claims, including claims for discrimination, victimisation, harassment and unfair dismissal.
  • Corporate transactions: Advising on the acquisition and disposal of large businesses involving complex and multijurisdictional employment issues. 
  • Advisory: Coordinating day to day employment advice, including conducting large scale multijurisdictional surveys. 
  • Data Protection: Working on a number of data protection queries for clients and assisting with responding to data subject access requests. 
  • Audits: Assisting clients with equal pay and employee relations audits.  
  • EU Whistleblowing Directive: advising clients on the implementation and impact of the EU Whistleblowing Directive for their business.
