Practice Focus
Christina regularly advises US and non-US clients on the tax planning and transactional aspects of cross-border mergers and acquisitions across a broad range of industries, joint ventures, restructurings, financings, inbound and outbound investments and IP structuring.
Christina has extensive experience providing advice to investment managers on the international structuring, formation and ongoing global operation of private equity funds, hedge funds and other alternative investment vehicles. She also focuses her practice on advising all types of investors, with a particular focus on sovereign investors claiming Section 892 benefits, on the structuring and negotiation of their investments across all sectors in the US, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Christina is actively involved in initiatives around the enhancement of tax regimes of emerging and frontier sovereign states. In particular, she has experience in advising sovereign clients in emerging and frontier markets on tax mobilization and reform and related discussions with multilateral agencies. Christina also is engaged in developing short-term and long-term tax mobilization strategies for emerging and frontier markets to adopt in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
