Biography

Claudine is a partner in Baker McKenzie’s Corporate Tax Department in London. Claudine has 18 years of experience advising multinational groups on complex international tax matters, with a particular focus on cross-border structuring. She is a chartered accountant and before joining the Firm in 2017, Claudine worked in the international tax services and transaction tax groups of Big 4 accounting firms for 9 years. Claudine has a particular focus on cross-border tax issues impacting US and UK headquartered multinational businesses and spent time on secondment to Baker McKenzie’s office in Washington, DC.

Practice Focus

Claudine has extensive experience advising clients across the technology, financial services, energy, digital platforms, and consumer sectors on the design and implementation of global holding, financing, intellectual property and supply chain structures. She regularly coordinates with local counsel across Europe and beyond, ensuring consistency and commercial alignment across jurisdictions. Her practice also includes advising on the tax aspects of post-acquisition reorganisations and integrations.

Claudine also advises on UK and international tax policy developments. Most recently, she has been assisting clients in responding efficiently to the OECD /Inclusive Framework’s Pillar Two rules and their implementation across a wide range of jurisdictions.

In addition, Claudine supports clients with UK tax technical input during HMRC enquiries and negotiations, including matters involving transfer pricing, unallowable purpose, diverted profits tax and the UK’s anti-hybrid rules.
