Biography

Alberto Fornari is a full Transaction Lawyer, Partner in the Banking & Finance department of Baker McKenzie’s Italian offices.

He graduated from the University of Parma Law School in 1985 and holds a master's degree from NYU Law School (1990) and a Magister Legum from J.W.Goethe Universitaet Frankfurt (1993).

Alberto is admitted in Italy and in the State of New York.

Practice Focus

Alberto advises clients in financing transactions, structured and corporate finance, including securitisation trade and asset capital markets transactions, M&A and outsourcing/BPO transactions. He has advised a number of Italian and domestic groups in relation to cross-border transactions, including acquisitions and disposals in several foreign jurisdictions.

Out of both its finance-centered and corporate transactions, Alberto has also developed a strong knowledge of insolvency issues, both in terms of legal rules and practice of several local courts of Italy and advises clients on restructuring transactions.
