Biography

Dr. Benjamin Durst is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Frankfurt office and member of the German Labor Law Practice Group. Prior to joining the Firm, he studied at the University of Wuerzburg, where he passed his First State Exam. After graduation, Benjamin worked as a research assistant at the legal chair of civil law, labor law and civil procedural law, and received a doctorate from the University of Wuerzburg. During this period, he also worked as a legal employee in a company in Wuerzburg. Benjamin spent his legal traineeship in the jurisdiction of the Higher Regional Court Bamberg and passed his Second State Exam in 2021. As part of his legal traineeship, he worked inter alia for a boutique law firm specializing in employment law in Frankfurt.

Practice Focus

Benjamin advises domestic and international clients on all labor and employment law-related matters, such as terminations and drafting employment contracts. He also counsels companies on mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and works council issues, as well as on the compliant use of external workforce. Benjamin also represents companies in labor court proceedings in Germany.
