Eleanor Dive
Biography
Eleanor Dive is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s Antitrust & Competition team based in London. After training at the firm, she qualified into the team in March 2024.
As a trainee, Eleanor spent time on secondment with Baker McKenzie’s Litigation and Government Enforcement practice in New York.
Practice Focus
Eleanor focuses on all areas of UK competition and antitrust law including competition litigation, multi-jurisdictional merger control, foreign direct investment and regulatory enforcement matters.
Eleanor also advises companies in relation to internal whistleblowing investigations and external investigations by regulatory bodies such as the UK Competition Markets Authority (CMA) and the UK Serious Fraud Office (SFO), and supports companies with their compliance processes and procedures.
Representative Legal Matters
- Acting for two multinational corporations in the pharmaceutical sector defending a claim in the Competition Appeals Tribunal for follow-on damages arising out of a Decision by the European Commission.
- Advising a private equity firm on merger control and foreign investment matters in relation to the sale of a portfolio software company.
- Acting pro bono for a prominent UK-based charity in relation to compliance issues and allegations of bribery in an overseas jurisdiction.
- Advised Silver Lake, the global leader in technology investing, on the sale of Alfabet, a market leader in Enterprise Architecture and Strategic Portfolio Management.
- Advised Alphatheta Corporation on the proposed acquisition of Serato Audio Research Limited at Phase 2 in front of the CMA.
- Advised a global media company in connection with an investigation by the CMA into allegations of cartel behaviour following a dawn raid.
- Advised a large, listed company in the travel sector in relation to an investigation by the SFO into allegations of bribery and corruption in its overseas operations.
