Biography

William is an associate in the Private M&A department of Baker McKenzie's Corporate group based in London. Since joining Baker McKenzie in 2022, William has advised on a number of complex, high value, domestic and cross-border transactions. William focuses on complex global carve-outs, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations, with a particular focus in the industrials and manufacturing sectors.

  • Advised Edwardian Hotels on the sale of a portfolio of 10 central London hotels to Starwood Capital.

  • Advised Emerson Electric Co. on the USD 14 billion carve-out and sale of its Emerson Climate Technologies business to Blackstone.

  • Advised Sika AG on its EUR 5.3 billion acquisition of MBCC Group from Lone Star and the EUR 500m carve-out and sale of MBCC Group's admixtures business to Cinven.

  • Advised Baker Hughes on the carve-out and sale of its Nexus Controls business to General Electric.

  • Advised Emerson Electric Co. on the USD 625 million carve-out and sale of its Therm-O-Disc business to One Rock Capital Partners.

  • Advised Accenture on the acquisition of YSC Consulting from Graphite Capital.

  • Advised S&P Global, Inc. on its USD 44 billion merger with IHS Markit Ltd.

  • Advised Suez S.A. on the USD 3.2 billion acquisition of the Water & Process Technologies business from General Electric.
