Hilary Brownlow is a senior associate in the Commercial Real Estate team at Baker McKenzie, Sydney. She joined the Sydney office in 2000 from London, and has practiced in real estate law both in London and Australia. Hilary focuses on real property transactions. Practice Focus

Hilary focuses her practice on corporate real estate transactions across commercial, retail and industrial sectors as well as work involving rural and pastoral land in the agribusiness sector. She acts for local and global clients. Hilary has been responsible for a number of Australian roll-outs for key national and international brands and businesses, helping with the development of concept stores and offices throughout Australia and advising on the impact of different state-based retail legislation applying throughout Australia. Hilary's institutional leasing experience ranges from shopping centres to CBD commercial office buildings in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

  • Advising for a number of the world's leading companies on their Australian corporate real estate needs and accommodation requirements including for: HP, Google, Bank of China, Symantec, Abbott as well as the Australian retail networks of Starbucks, LVMH and associated brands, Tiffany & Co., SWATCH, Salvatore Ferragamo, Esprit, Estée Lauder, Bose, Nokia, Bang & Olufsen, ALDI, H&M, Valentino and Ralph Lauren.

  • Advising and acting on the acquisition and aggregation of a series of pastoral properties across NSW for European based pension fund including the transfer of Western Lands Division leasehold interests.

  • Acting on the disposal of a major commodity and livestock production agribusiness aggregation in NSW for global agribusiness investor.

  • Advising on the subdivision and acquisition of rural properties including crown and Western Lands leasehold interests for ASX listed mining companies in South East New South Wales.
